ABOUT THE COMPANY – IIE-VEGA SCHOOL

IIE-Vega School Bursary Competition South Africa; Vega, formed in 1999, is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), which is accredited by the British Accreditation Council.

The School offers various full-time, part-time, online and short courses in Brand Communication, Brand Management, Copywriting, Digital Design, Digital Marketing, Game Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Video and Photography.

ABOUT THE IIE-VEGA SCHOOL BURSARY COMPETITION – FIELDS COVERED

The IIE-Vega School, partnered with the 947 Drive with Thando, are inviting students to apply for the bursary competition, for 2022 studies. The bursary is available for study at any of the IIE-Vega School campuses, for part-time; full-time and online studies, towards the following qualifications:

BCom Honours in Strategic Brand Management
BA Honours in Strategic Brand Communication
BA in Strategic Brand Communication

ABOUT THE IIE-VEGA SCHOOL BURSARY COMPETITION – COVERAGE VALUE & WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

The school will award full bursaries for studies towards the BCom Honours and BA Honours qualifications, and 50% bursaries for studies towards the BA qualification. The bursary only covers tuition fees, for the minimum duration of the qualification – all other expenses are for students own account.

Winners will be contacted (telephonically or via email). If the winner cannot be reached within 30 days, or if the winner cannot collect the prize within 60 days, the prize will be forfeited and IIE-Vega will select another winner.
Winners may be invited on air to receive the prize, which may include participating in any marketing activities (electronic media and/or the print media)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE IIE-VEGA SCHOOL BURSARY COMPETITION

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
BA in Strategic Brand Communication bursary applicants:

You must satisfy the entry requirements and specifications for BA in Strategic Brand Communication studies
You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in Matric
You must be willing to complete the IIE-Vega application process for 2022 studies, if successful
You must NOT be involved with Primedia or IIE-Vega School (this includes director, employee or agent and their associates of any of these companies, as well spouse, life partner, family member, business partner)
You must have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of the competition
You must NOT apply if you have won a prize on 702, 947, CapeTalk and/or Kfm 94.5 within the last 90 days (including on-air, online or via any of Primedia Broadcasting’s social media platforms)

BA Honours or BCom Honours bursary applicants:

You must have completed an Undergraduate qualification or Advanced Diploma in a related field
You must satisfy the entry requirements and specifications for BCom Honours in Strategic Brand Management or BA Honours in Strategic Brand Communication studies
You must be willing to complete the IIE-Vega application process for 2022 studies, if successful
You must NOT be involved with Primedia or IIE-Vega School (this includes director, employee or agent and their associates of any of these companies, as well spouse, life partner, family member, business partner)
You must have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of the competition
You must NOT apply if you have won a prize on 702, 947, CapeTalk and/or Kfm 94.5 within the last 90 days (including on-air, online or via any of Primedia Broadcasting’s social media platforms)

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE IIE-VEGA SCHOOL BURSARY COMPETITION

Applications must be submitted online at: IIE-Vega School Bursary Competition 2022

Applicants must submit a motivational letter with their application explaining why they want to study at IIE-Vega School and why they should be selected to receive the bursary (maximum of 350 words).
Applicants must listen to the 947 Drive with Thando, on Thursday 23 September 2021, to find out if they are a winner.
If you are selected/ shortlisted for the BA in Strategic Brand Communication bursary, you will be required to submit the following documents:

Most recent transcript of academic results
Motivational letter explaining why you should be award the bursary and how this qualification will positively impact you (between 300 and 350 words)

If you are selected/ shortlisted for the BA Honours or BCom Honours scholarship, you will be required to submit the following documents:

Most recent transcript of academic results
Portfolio with the 2 wisdom with magic ideas and examples (maximum 4 pages)
Work and ideas you are most proud of, including an original concept/ idea/ argument/ execution and a situation where you worked in a team to solve a complex challenge
