Abia State Commissioners 2019
The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has finally forwarded 24 names to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners.
The nominees according to a statement by the state Commissioner for Information, Chief John Kalu, on Monday, are Chimaobi Ebisike, Prof Ikechi Mgbeoji, Chief John J. Okoro, Dr Hagler Okorie, Dr Cosmos Ndukwe, Ugbaja Theophilus Odionyemfe, Onyema Wachuku, Sir G C Onyendilefu, Chief Emeka Ikwuagwu, and Eziuche Ubani.
Others are, D. K Uduma, Ekele Nwaohanmuo, Mrs Ukachi Amala, Prince Ezekwesiri Ananaba, Dr Solomon Ogunji, Chief Ikpechukwu Onuoha, Prince Dan Okoli. Suleiman Ukandu, Dr Aham Uko and Chijioke Madumere.
The rest are, Dr K. C. K Nwangwa, Mrs Uwaoma Olenwengwa, Dr Joe Osuji and Emma Nwabuko.
From the above, about six nominees had earlier served in the State Executive Council. They are, Uko, Mgbeoji, Okorie, Ubani, Ogunji and Nwabuko.
The reconstitution of the cabinet by Ikpeazu is coming three months after his re-election in April this year and subsequent inauguration on May 29.
