Biography Of Pastor Paul Adefarasin
Pastor Paul Adeolu Adefarasin is the founder and senior pastor of House on the Rock church. An author and social transformer, Pastor Adefarasin has continued to blaze the trail with his leadership. His convened annual Gospel music concert is now a revered event with Gospel music heavyweights annually making it a date.
Born in 25th January 1963 to a Nigerian Father, Joseph Adefarasin, and Jamaican mother, Hilda Adefarasin, he resided both in Nigeria and the United States early in life. He graduated from the University of Miami with a professional Bachelors Degree in Architecture and practised in Florida before his eventual call by God into ministry.
In 1994, Pastor Paul Adefarasin founded the House on the Rock church in his mother’s living room in Lagos with a few attendees, however, the living room church has today, blossomed into a Ministry that has over 50 daughter churches in Africa and Europe.
He also started the Rock Foundation which collaborates with the church social and humanitarian services like rehabilitation and empowerment of ex-convicts, urban miscreants, prostitutes, drug addicts.
Formerly a drug addict himself, he is well-motivated to preach against all social vices that bedevil humanity. He is well known for his publicly aired programme Something is about to happen. A well-pronounced mentee of Bishop T.D. Jakes of Dallas Texas, Pastor Paul has been fervent in his message of hope to the world and especially the African continent where he resides. He collaborated with Bishop Jakes and many other famous artists in producing the Inspired By… The Bible Experience where he acted the voice of God.
As a visionary, he obeyed the leading of God to start the Lagos Experience Gospel Musical Concert and the program was first produced in 2006. Now in its tenth year, the Lagos Experience has become a landmark event that draws gospel music greats of this age.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin is married to pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin, and together, they have three lovely children.
