Online Registration Information

All registration processes for 2023 will be done online due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines.
Prospective students are not allowed access to either the Bloemfontein or Welkom campuses at the moment.

Registration dates

Late registration will take place until Wednesday, 21 April 2023.

The first-time entrant, postgraduate students can register from 05 March 2023 to 21 April 2023 (master’s and doctoral students).

Prospective students apply through CACH

Prospective students who would like to apply may do so via the Central Application Clearing House (CACH) system for centralised applications to institutions in South Africa. The system will open after matric results have been released. Follow the Facebook page for updates.
The applicants should contact CACH via a standard SMS by sending/texting their full name (first name and surname) and ID number to 31629 or sign-up online at Central Application Clearing House (CACH).

2020 Grade 12 learners

CUT is busy reviewing your application and you may check your status using your ID number. Click here, CUT Check Status.
Current Grade 12’s do not have to bring their statements of results to the university as we are minimising movements due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines.
Note that we receive your results from the Department of Education and all statuses will be communicated as we finalise.

Postgraduate students

First-time entry Master’s and Doctoral students
Registration dates are 5 March 2023 to 21 April 2023.

Late registration

Subject additions and cancellations take place from 17 March 2023 to 21 April 2023.

Subject cancellation | Suspension of studies | Suspension of Residence Accommodation

Closing date 21 April 2023.
