UCT Online High School Adult Matric Scholarship South Africa | In August 2022, UCT Online High School officially became the most affordable fully accredited school in South Africa, and one of the few to offer the internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE qualification. The school also announced the official launch of its 18-month Adult Matric Programme that is offered to students online. UCT Online High School for Adult Matric hopes to give candidates (who were unable to obtain their Matric certificate) the opportunity to achieve this academic milestone. UCT believes that it is never too late to establish the foundation for your future, your family, and your life.

ABOUT THE UCT ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL ADULT MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

UCT Online High School is inviting students to apply for their Adult Matric Scholarship Programme, for the 2023 academic year..

The scholarship allows adults to complete a CAPS-aligned Amended Senior Certificate, part-time and online, over the course of 18 months.

UCT Online High School will be awarding scholarships to the first 500 eligible adult learners, with a total value of over R5 million.

The Adult Matric programme hopes to use innovative educational modalities to bridge the gap in the socio-economic divide within the country and support eligible adult learners in achieving their Amended Senior Certificate at a reduced rate. Through this, UCT Online High School hopes to allow adult learners an opportunity to complete their Matric and have a second chance at establishing their future.

MORE ABOUT THE UCT ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL ADULT MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – EXPENSES COVERED

The scholarship will provide partial cover for the programme’s monthly tuition fees, for the full 18-month programme duration.

The scholarship will NOT provide cover for the application fee or the placement fee.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE UCT ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL ADULT MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

You must be a South African citizen
You must be 21 years old, or older when you sit for your Matric exam
You must have completed one of the following: Grade 9 (old Standard 7), General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) or a recognised equivalent qualification
You must have access to the following equipment: a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, a stable internet connection (minimum 10Mbps) and an uninterrupted power supply (UPS)
You must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week (over 7 days)
You must be highly motivated
You must have a strong work ethic
You must be able to meet deadlines
You must be able to take ownership of and complete all assignments
You must have adequate technical proficiency
