ABOUT THE RHEINMETALL DENEL MUNITION BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

Rheinmetall Denel Munition is inviting postgraduate students to apply for bursary funding, for the 2022 academic year. The bursary is aimed at students in financial need and will provide cover for Masters’s and Doctoral studies, within the defence industry, for defence-related programmes.

The aim of the bursary is to expand, build and develop a pipeline of future young munition professionals.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RDM BURSARY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizens
  • You must have completed an Honours degree
  • You must be registered to study at Masters’s or Doctoral level, from second-year programmes
  • You must be studying at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa
  • You must be in financial need
  • You must NOT be receiving any other bursary funding

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE RDM BURSARY

Students who meet all of the above criteria can email Bilqees Abrahams (the RDM Training and Development Administrator) to request a copy of the application form at; Bilqees.Abrahams@rheinmetall-denelmunition.com
(Insert the words “RDM Bursary Application Form Required” in the email subject line).
The list of required supporting documents will be communicated in the application email, but the following documents may be required:

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Full academic transcript/ record (on institutions letterhead) (certified copy)
  • Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit unemployed, proof of pension or grant if applicable) (certified copy)
