Osun-Born Professor Dies in Kano
Another prominent Nigerian has died in Kano State.
He is Prof. Monsuru Emiola of the Bayero University, Kano (BUK), a native of Oyo State.
The don died at the university clinic after a brief illness.
Emiola was a senior lecturer with the Physical and Health Education Department, Faculty of Education
BUK had, on April 26, lost a lecturer in the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Balarabe Maikaba.
Kano has recorded deaths of a number of indigenes since mid-April. Investigators said some died of coronavirus complications.
They include Ibrahim Ayagi; Aliyu Umar Dikko, Abdullahi Lawal; Musa Ahmad Tijjani; Adamu Dal; Nasiru Maikano Bichi; Musa Umar Gwarzo; Ustaz Dahiru Rabiu.
Others are Salisu Lado; Nene Umma; Garba Sarki Fagge; Shamsiyya Mustapha; Nene Umma; Garba Sarki Fagge; Nasiru Maikano Bichi; Rabiu Dambatta; Kabiru Ibrahim Bayero and mother of a businessman, Ado Gwanja.
