The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Thursday shared an updated list of states with confirmed cases of coronavirus.

In the list, Cross River and the Kogi States were excluded.

This has generated concerns from Nigerians as some took to their social media pages appealing to NCDC to investigate both States, especially Kogi which shares borders with most States with positive COVID-19 cases.

Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter:

@Nefertiti “Now take a look at NCDC’s breakdown of confirmed COVID19 cases by state. Guess what? Kogi State did not make the list, out of 35 states and the FCT. Kogi is the only state yet to record positive COVID19 cases. Is Yahaya Bello’s App not working wonders?

@jstarz “Kogi is my state, I might not be in the state currently but my parents, siblings and friends are. All we just want is intervention from NCDC. Our government might not take this seriously. COVID -19 is real. We need testing kits in Kogi state.”

@Femaleradioking “So my sister that stays in Kogi state told me that the rate at which people buy malaria drugs is alarming. Soon people will begin to drop dead and a repetition of what’s happening in Kano would happen there. NCDC should do something now and arrest the situation.”

@Ejaiko “Please what is happening in Kogi state? Are they being tested at all? All their neighbours cannot have cases and they are dependent on their “app”

@Rhemabeth1 “I would like to request NCDC to kindly look into Kogi and Cross river state because we do not see their records and We need to know what is happening around the country thanks.”

@Bekannenzino “Can’t the federal government force Kogi state to start testing? Or is there something you’re not telling us?

@Oyiza “If we don’t test, we won’t know, that’s the strategy in Kogi state.”

@Duke_henry02 “So Cross river state is still coronavirus free, the governor must be doing a good job.”

@Tifeabdul “Kogi has totally been exempted from the list. Person wey no do test no dey get result bah. Shame on all of you.”

@Dandyned “It’s amazing how Cross River state has managed to stay Covid-19 free.”

@Tombo_fc “I’m still pondering how there are no cases in Kogi State that shares boundaries with over 9 states. What a mystery.”

@Smithie “NCDC said we have only 2 new cases in Kano today, we’ll look into that later. All the 7 states including Abuja surrounding Kogi have tested positive to the Coronavirus even with all movement Kogi is still negative! You still don’t fear Igala and Ebira people?
