ABOUT THE COMPANY – EWSETA
The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA), one of the 21 SETAs in South Africa, is a skills development authority that is responsible for serving the energy and water sectors. EWSETA are responsible for the management of skills development within the National Skills Development Strategy III framework. The EWSETA’s main focus areas include water services; gas; energy and renewable energy.ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
Each year EWSETA offers bursaries for students pursuing their studies in Energy and Water-related field.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Currently studying OR accepted to study at a recognised South African tertiary institution, in the Energy and Water-related field
- *Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged communities, female students, as well as students with disabilities
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BURSARY
Download and complete the EWSETA Bursary application form in either of the following formats: EWSETA Bursary Application Form (.doc) EWSETA Bursary Application Form (.pdf) Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric certificate or equivalent (certified copy)
- First-time tertiary applicants: proof of university registration
- Current tertiary students: full academic record to date
