dlalanathi is a small highly professional non-profit organisation based in Pietermaritzburg. We work in local communities affected by poverty, trauma and loss. Our fun and creative team has a deep commitment to building the capacity of adults to support children, youth and families to cope emotionally. Our work focuses on the full life space of a person, from pregnancy all the way through to old age. As needs arise dlalanathi designs processes that we can use in our direct work within the community and then scale up our work but adapting into training that is offered to partner organisations wanting to build their stills to facilitate these programmes. Our organization looks at working in partnership with others, we are relationship based, mentoring and supervision is part of our training process to ensure the mastering of skills and we also adapt programmes to fit the organization and context in which the work will be delivered.
dlalalanthi seeks to appoint a Training Manager to be based in Pietermaritzburg.
Interested candidates should have qualifications in:
- Social Work or Psychology at Honours and/or Masters Level with 1-3 years relevant work experience and an interest in gender transformative work.
- You should be fluent in English and isiZulu, have good organisational skills, an interest in designing programmes and building the capacity of others to implement emotional support to children and caregivers. Having a valid driver’s license and being able to travel is also a requirement.
